Sofía Arreola is a dedicated designer from Mexico City, currently based in New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, graduating with highest honors and minors in Sustainability Studies and the History of Art and Design. Her practice is grounded in research-driven design for social change, with a deep curiosity for materials and their cultural implications, and particularly drawn to environments shaped by context, emotion, and history.
Her experience spans across 3D modeling, rendering, she brings hands-on knowledge in woodworking, ceramics, glassblowing, and metalworking. These tactile skills inform her approach to prototyping and allow her to move fluidly between digital and physical processes. With a strong foundation in sketching, visual development, and material research, she approaches design as both a conceptual and craft-based practice.
